Fudge

500ml Sugar
125ml Margarine
12,5ml Syrup
1 can Condensed Milk

1. Place sugar and syrup into pot and heat slowly until margarine melts.
2. Add condensed milk and heat slowly until mixture comes to boil.
3. Stir continuously - all sugar crystals must be dissolved before mixture boils.
4. Boil gently for 20 minutes over very low heat, stirring now and then.
5. Pour onto greased baking dish.
6. Allow to cool slightly. Cut and leave to cool completely.
7. Store in airtight container (no ants allowed!)

Enjoy with  tea or milo while watching movies.

Doughnuts

110g Self-Raising Flour
200ml Castor Sugar
Pinch Salt
1 Egg, beaten (but not defeated!)
125ml Milk
Extra Castor Sugar and Cinnamon for sprinkling
Oil for frying

1. Sift flour, sugar and salt.
2. Add beaten egg and milk.
3. Heat oil in saucepan.
4. Drop spoonfuls of batter into hot oil.
5. When golden brown and cooked inside, remove with slatted spoon. 
6. Roll in castor sugar and cinnamon while hot (doughnuts not you).
7. Drain on paper towelling. 

(Makes 10 doughnuts - unless there are children - there will be 0 left.)

Sweetie Mice

1 packet jelly
1 tin condensed milk
170g coconut
liquorice tails
almond flake ears
choc chip eyes and nose

1. Mix jelly powder, condensed milk and coconut.
2. Keep hands damp and form balls of mixture into mice shapes.
3. Add tail, ears, nose and eyes.

(Do not share with your cat!)

 Caramel Popcorn

1 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup margarine 
1/3 cup syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
1 large pot of popped popcorn 

1. Put sugar, margarine and syrup into pot and boil. Stir continuously.
2. Boil until mixture looks like caramel.
3. Remove from stove.
4. Add vanilla essence.
5. Add popcorn and mix gently with wooden spoon. 
6. Put sticky balls of caramel popcorn onto baking paper trays to cool.
